Indu started learning Carnatic music at the age of 8. With her father’s Army job, she travelled and lived in various parts of India. The only thing that stayed close to her heart was music; which her parents realized and made sure wherever they moved, Indu was able to continue her voyage with Carnatic music. She was regular performer at the All India Radio’s “Yuvwaani” in New Delhi. Having lived in various parts of India and knowing about 6 different Indian languages, her exposure and admiration towards music is phenomenal. With almost 14 years of musical experience of performing at various cultural events, Indu brings in the same experience as a teacher; encouraging students to experiment learn & various types and languages of songs. Indu strongly believes Carnatic music requires a lot of patience and dedication not only for the teachers, but for the students as well. Hence to keep the students engaged and focused, she tailors the class based on student’s interest, at the same time being aligned with Carnatic music curriculum.
