What is Unison?
Appropriate for businesses and corporations both large and small, Unison is a professional development workshop designed to encourage team building and relationships through music. Don't worry, no prior musical experience is necessary! Our staff of musical professionals does all the preparation and planning---all that your team needs to do is come prepared to relax and have fun.
What can my team expect from a Unison workshop?
Prior to a Unison workshop, our Notes N' Beats staff will talk to your team to understand your team building goals or any possible concerns. Our team then tailors a program that is customized just for your team.
At the beginning of the Unison workshop, our team will lead you through a selection of activities designed to entertain and engage creative thinking for building team relationships and build leadership. Our team will also help you get familiar with the format of the event.
During the workshop, you will find ideas emerging and creativity flourishing. The experience evolves into making relationships with other participating members and having a time that is fun and memorable. Activities may include songwriting or listening & rhythm games---all adapted exclusively for your team. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a tune that you can take with you. Our sessions are about 90-120mins long.

Veena Pandiri, Founder and CEO of Notes n' Beats Music School in Ashburn, Virginia, has over 15 years of experience teaching music and over 20 years of experience in the software industry. She has worked at both large corporations and small startups. Veena believes that music is a powerful medium to enable communication between teams and can build lasting relationships. This year, Veena launched the "Unison" program, which uses music as a platform to bring teams together. "Unison" helps participants "drop their guard" and fosters a healthy relationship between team members while having fun over music.
Ed Cohen, Executive Vice President of Nelson Cohen Global Consulting, has over 40 years of learning and leadership development experience crossing more than 60 countries. As Chief Learning Officer for Booz Allen Hamilton, Ed led the team to the number one rank in the world for learning and development. He then spent seven years in India where he was Chief Learning Officer for Tech Mahindra and HCL Technologies. He also provided consulting for organizations across Asia. Nelson Cohen launched in 2009 and has provided innovative team building, executive coaching and leadership development to small and large organizations around the world.
