Stephen Gliatto

An elementary music teacher for Loudoun County Public Schools....

Stephen Gliatto is an elementary music teacher for Loudoun County Public Schools. Although his training and first love is in Western classical piano, he is certified for all levels and enjoys teaching beginner piano, pop, and improvisation just as well.
Mr. Gliatto is a big proponent of diversity and inclusion in music and he arranges many different song that incorporate Indian and Western music for Notes n' Beats. Having spent his entire life immersed in music but only later deciding to become a full-time music teacher Stephen holds degrees from Georgetown University (biology and music, 2014) and West Chester University of Pennsylvania (music education and piano performance, 2019). He studied piano with Dr. Igor Resnianski and has won prizes in the Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association and New Orleans Piano Institute competitions. Stephen grew up in Philadelphia but has had ties to the Washington/Northern Virginia area for many years before moving here this past August. In addition to teaching piano and general music, he has also worked as a choir director, accompanist, church musician, and music school administrative assistant and webmaster, and his dream job is to have a full-time choir of his own one day. Outside of work, he also plays guitar (not very well) and enjoys drawing cartoons, cooking, hiking, exploring, and paddle boarding.
