Priyant Sundas
Guitar, Hindustani, Piano - Berklee School of Music
A Berklee School of Music Grad, Priyant is both a Western Jazz Musician and a Hindustani Classical Performer.
Priyant Sundas is a Professional Guitarist, Vocalist, Composer/Arranger, Recording Artist, and a Performer. He started learning guitar at the age of 4 with his father. Priyant graduated from the Berklee College of Music, Boston, majoring in Professional Music, focused on Performance, Jazz Composition, and Songwriting. Mr. Sundas is a member of the Grammy U Recording Academy, a recipient of the International Berklee Asian Scholarship Award, and a recipient of the National Award from Shankar Mahadevan and TATA Capitols in India, for being a Young Artist with an Extraordinary Contribution in the field of Music. While a student at Berklee, Priyant was placed on the Dean’s list several times, and also received the Berklee Achievement Grant. In addition to his musical qualifications and degree, Mr. Sundas also holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance. As a Performer, Priyant had an opportunity to collaborate with various Globally Renowned Musicians such as Rosanne Cash, Esperanza Spalding, Dr. Prakash Sontakke, Annette Philip (Berklee Indian Ensemble), and Barbara Lafitte, to name a few. Priyant’s musical styles widely range from Rock, Funk, RnB, Jazz, Songwriting, and Fusion, to Indian Classical, enhanced heavily by improvisational techniques. Recently, Priyant was selected as a semi-finalist for one of his songs, ‘Maya’, in the World Music category for the Nashville-based Unsigned Only Music Competition, for which over 7000 entries were received world-wide. As an artist, Priyant believes in reaching out to people, giving them joy, hope, positive emotions, and spreading love through music.
