How can a student be involved?

The student has to register as a member by sending an email to thestagenonprofit@gmail.com.  Each activity performed by the student is tracked in a document and they accumulate a certain number of points  which can be used to collect Certificates of Service provided by The Stage non-profit organization. There are several ways that a student can participate and gain points  to advance through different membership levels.

Membership Eligibility details

Students will be eligible to join the Stage and the different membership levels when they achieve a certain number of points based on their involvement in various activities.  Once the student reaches the points needed for each membership level, they will be awarded the following memberships

.  

• Rising Star Membership - Needs 100 points​

  • Participation in:

    • At least 4 recitals/performances AND

    • 1 annual fundraiser event presented by Notes N’ Beats.

  • In return, student receives: 

    • Certificate of Service from THE STAGE

 

• Producer Membership - Needs 250 points 

  • Everything from the Rising Star Membership level

  • Participation in:

    • Ensembles outside of classroom OR

    • Masterclasses/workshops at Notes N’ Beats

    • 2 annual fundraiser events presented by Notes N’ Beats.

  • In return, student receives: 

    • Certificate of Service from THE STAGE

 

• Superstar Membership - Needs 500 points

  • Everything from the Producer Membership Level

  • Participation in:

    • Corporate/private/public events scheduled by Notes N’ Beats OR

    • Supporting tasks such as video editing, stage management, rehearsal management, etc

  • In return, student receives: 

    • Certificate of Service from THE STAGE

    • Students who are members of this level will be eligible to apply for financial grants of up to $250/yr based on criteria defined by Notes N Beats or student  can donate the amount to a charitable organization of choice.

 

• Platinum Artist Membership - Needs 1000 points

  • Everything from the Superstar Membership level

  • Participation in:

    • Teaching assignments at Notes N’ Beats classes or camps or serving as a tutor through the community tutoring program

    • Taking ownership of assisting with technical tasks and/or planning for the Notes N’ Beats fundraiser and/or recitals

    • Designing an original performance and executing it to raise awareness of a cause or to raise funds for a cause. - 500 points per event

  • In return, student receives: 

    • Certificate of Service from THE STAGE

    • Students who are members of this level will be eligible to apply for financial grants of up to $500/yr based on criteria defined by Notes N’ Beats or student  can donate the amount to a charitable organization of choice.

 

Fine Print

Grants will be awarded contingent upon the condition that funds raised during different events  will be sufficient to provide for all grants after making the desired donation to a charitable organization.  If there are insufficient funds to support all the students that apply for grants, those that receive the maximum points will be awarded first.

How to submit your hours

Click on the "I volunteered and would like to submit my hours" link for initiating the approval process.  Talk to the teacher or administrator that you worked with at Notes n' Beats so they can approve your hours.
